New Improvements in Mikel Celtic Instruments
The Harmonic Curve of our Lever Harps is laminated for extra strength. In the three part lamination, the central section is made from Mahogany. Mahogany is a straight grained, reddish-brown wood of the tropical hardwood species of the genus swietenia ; the wood we use is plantation grown. This hardwood in the lamination provides extra bearing power, allowing the harmonic curve to resist the downward pull of the strings. The wood grains of the laminates are positioned to ensure maximum strength.
